State Privacy Rights
Last updated: 2026-08-21
Revised: 21 Aug 2026
Where you are a resident of a US state with a comprehensive privacy law — California under the CCPA/CPRA, or Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a similar statute — the following supplements our Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
You can ask what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, get a copy in portable form, and opt out of any sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Several states additionally grant a right to appeal if we decline. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights — no price difference, no degraded access.
The Categories Concerned
Categories involved: identifiers — IP address, cookie IDs, device identifiers; internet activity — browsing on this site, referrers, timing; and contact details, but only if you volunteered them. These come from your device directly and from analytics or advertising partners where such partners are engaged.
Sale or Sharing
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Where advertising is served, identifiers may pass to advertising partners, and that can constitute a ‘sale’ or ‘sharing’ under California and other state laws. The opt-out route is Do Not Sell or Share My Information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.
How to Submit a Request
Two routes. For an opt-out: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honour automatically. For anything else — access, correction, deletion, portability — email hello@howtostudywell.com. Verification is by reply to the originating address, responses come within the time state law sets, and an authorised agent may submit on your behalf with written permission.
